We are now looking for two

LABORATORY ANALYSTS

 

to join our Specialty Carbohydrates Process R&D team based in Kirkkonummi, Southern Finland.

 

Our team is delivering capacity release and continuous improvement projects in close collaboration with our globally located manufacturing facilities, and process development and technology support for exciting new products in our portfolio. Our laboratory provides analytical support for these activities. We can offer you a position in a dynamic, diverse, and global IFF Health and Bioscience Process R&D organization that has world-class capabilities and opportunities to grow and develop.

 

As a Laboratory Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:

 

  • Executing and reporting of laboratory work
  • Development and validation of new and existing analysis methods
  • Equipment maintenance and calibration 
  • Participating in analytical technology transfer in Finland and abroad
  • Acting as a proactive team member in global development projects
  • Continuous improvement in safety culture and day-to-day operations.

 

You are qualified for the position if you have:

 

  • A B.Sc. in Laboratory Science or equivalent
  • A few years of relevant work experience in analytical laboratory, especially in QC setting
  • Practical experience in analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, ICP, IC)
  • Excellent attitude towards Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)
  • Team player mentality, high respect for people and understanding of the importance of a good working atmosphere
  • Problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and continuous learning attitude
  • Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills both in Finnish and in English
  • Good IT skills (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, SAP). 


Desirable skills and background:

 

  • Previous experience from working in process industry is an asset.


The positions are permanent and start as soon as possible.
