Your Focus


As Account Manager, you will be driving IFF profitable sales and market share growth from assigned customers, by identifying customer needs and opportunities, establishing, building solid customer relationship, leading and coordinating IFF activities and promoting, selling IFF fragrance solutions.   


This role is based in Bangkok, Thailand and reporting into the Commercial Director.


What You Will Contribute


  • Ensure IFF wins briefs through efficient Project Management - Proactive and Reactive. 
  • Pave way to get perfume brief, take lead on kick-off internal meeting in order to define project strategy and execute project action plan.
  • Ensure the most effective use of tools and creative resources, aiming quality and timely completion of projects.
  • Develop project strategy and action plans aligned with IFF principles, knowledge of customers’ strategic priorities and preferences, awareness of market trends and competitors’ movements.
  • Set proper working cost and selling prices according to corporate’s guiding gross margin, engage in negotiation on prices to achieve required gross margin, otherwise to gain management approve.
  • Evaluate and decide on fragrance submission, follow up and take actions on customer feedback.
  • Develop and deliver presentation to the customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with key customers.
  • Oversee improvement of gross profit, account receivable, and after-sales activities.
  • Accountable to prepare sales budget and review on monthly basis in order to maintain accuracy of sales forecast figures (SFT) and expenses management.
  • Ensure IFF internal team remains motivated and engaged to be successful.
  • Support Customer Services team on solving customers complaints and logistic issues in order to maintain and improve quality of service to the customer.

Job Requirements


What you will need to be successful


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Chemistry
  • Minimum 3 years of sales, account management experience, comprising of sales activities, negotiation and project management
  • 1-2 years’ experience in fragrance industry, flavor industry, FMCG, chemical or specialty. ingredients, dealing with sales, evaluation, marketing, or consumer insight 
  • Fragrance knowledge and olfactive evaluation skills
  • Customer relationship management experience
  • Passion in fragrance with interests in product development, consumers, and market understanding
  • Excellent interpersonal, good command of English communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to interact and coordinate activities with internal supporting team and customers
  • Strong in marketing and presentation skill
  • Project management skill
  • Ability to deal with basic financial concepts/processes (pricing, margin, forecasting, statistics) and IT systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
