This position is responsible for managing a territory of Dairy customers as part of the Health & Biosciences Platform of IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances).  As an Account Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for executing the business strategy, providing a high level of service to customers, and owning the sales revenue and gross profit of the region.  An Account Manager is expected to collaborate with all internal departments within IFF to help Business Units and customers achieve their goals.  Position can be remote, preferably in the Midwest.


Main Responsibilities:
-    Sell entire product portfolio to new and existing accounts in the cheese industry.
-    Achieve sales revenue and gross profit targets for the Cultures/Dairy Enzymes business unit.
-    Develop short and long term strategy to achieve sales growth.
-    Build project pipeline to sustain growth targets.
-    Manage all aspects of the selling process.
-    Manage and build relationships with existing customers.
-    Work closely with demand planning, providing monthly forecast guidance.
-    Update opportunities in SalesForce as they progress.
-    Focus on the customer.
-    Work with IFF Business Units to help them achieve their goals.

Job Requirements

-    Ingredient knowledge, preferably for the Cheese Industry.
-    Demonstrated success in Dairy sales.
-    Industry/customer knowledge.
-    Ability to coordinate cross functional team activity.
-    Ownership/Accountability/Drive.
-    Negotiation skills.
-    Business acumen.
-    Sales and/or tech service in the Dairy Industry preferred.
-    Ability to travel 30-40% of the time.
-    Food or Dairy Science degree.


Key Requirements
-    You are a professional with a dairy background, holding a degree in Food or Dairy Science.
