Reporting to the Director Strategy & Planning, the Manager, IT Vendor Management position will be responsible for the IT Vendor Management function. 

 

About You: 


As the Manager, IT Vendor Management, you will lead or assist in the development of Request for Information (RFIs), Request for Proposal (RFPs), and business cases. You will ensure that products and services meet the needs of internal customers as well as participate in contract negotiations.  To be successful in this role, the Manager, IT Vendor Management needs to ensure vendor accountability for contractual obligations, including Service Level Agreements, as well as manage strategic IT vendor relationships, pursue new vendor relationships, when necessary, and serve as the point contact for both internal customers and vendors. 

 

You will spend your time…

 

 

  • Leading the IT VMO, ensuring that the formal disciplines of IT vendor management are run effectively and efficiently.
  • Facilitating key IT sourcing efforts including developing RFPs and supporting contract negotiations Owning the relationship with IFF’s strategic IT vendors, ensuring alignment with IT Leadership Survey internal business clients to evaluate customers on and drive continuous improvement.
  • Serving as focal point for escalations and dispute resolution.
  • Monitoring and reporting on IT vendor performance against service-level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and other contractual commitments
  • Managing contract life cycle making appropriate changes to agreements, when necessary. Activities include, contract negotiations, modifications, incentives, and remedies, with a focus on directing the contract to meet the evolving requirements of key stakeholders and internal customers.
  • Driving QBRs with selected strategic partners and internal stakeholders to enhance vendor value in terms of performance, continuous improvements, and innovation.
  • Establishing, managing, and enhancing tools for use in VM, including vendor tracking, analytics, and performance management tools (scorecards and dashboards).
  • Maintaining inventory by vendor spend (in collaboration with Finance and Procurement) by category (e.g. software, hardware, telecom, staff augmentation, services), functional area, etc.
     

Job Requirements

 

Required Skills & Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s, but preferably master’s degree in Business, IT, Economics, or related field 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience within VMO 
  • Knowledge of the Information Technology vendor landscape across infrastructure, application software, and professional services domains
  • Knowledge of the entire vendor life cycle (sourcing, procurement, vendor management)
  • Experience in establishing Strategic Vendor Management in a global organization 
  • A strong working knowledge of contractual, commercial, and IT vendor governance as well as vendor business practices and motivations
  • Ability to influence without authority and collaborate with (internal) stakeholders 
  • Relationship skills that facilitates positive vendor behaviors, establishes healthy new engagements, and deepens existing ones 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with focus on managing business outcomes through collaboration with multiple internal and external parties 
  • Experience with developing and maintaining supplier/vendor performance dashboards and reports
  • Experience developing financial business cases
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
