As Account Manager, Meat & Culinary portfolio, you will be responsible to manage Brazil South and Midwest territory reporting to the Sales Manager and will be based in Arroio do Meio site, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. In addition to fostering established relationships and managing existing sales, you will identify new opportunities, grow sales, and expand your network. You will work in close cooperation with cross-functional team members, including Operations, Innovation Creation and Design, and Marketing departments within IFF. Major responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain accurate sales forecasts 
  • Cultivate and strengthen customer relationships
  • Host and coordinate customer visits / workshops 
  • Present to customers and/or arrange presentations for customers
  • Participate in team and cross-functional team meetings when requested 
  • Achieve profitable sales growth targets via maintaining and growing business
  • Manage pricing negotiations, pricing portfolio and achieve gross profit targets
  • Develop account strategies and engage relevant internal stakeholders to execute
  • Maintain timely and accurate information for on-going projects in the project management system
  • Implement strategic initiatives to improve profitability, including optimizing order patterns for customer and IFF 
  • Coordinate with internal functions to provide timely information to all matters relating to the service of accounts
  • Manage project timelines and progress by coordinating with internal stakeholders, including Technical team members  
  • Accountable for all communications with the customer, as well as being the liaison for all various functions between customer and IFF
  • Lead a cross-functional core team which includes Commercial Support, Technical & Marketing support individuals assigned to each account


As an Account Manager, you’ll spend your time…. 

  • Accountable for accurate key accounts sales forecast and budget
  • Prepare executive sales reports and new business activity for IFF management
  • Create, present and execute strategic account plan that is aligned with global business objectives. Meet or exceed financial metrics; drive for results
  • Deeply understand and leverage internationally IFF’s strategy, organization, capabilities, proprietary technologies, resources, product and service offerings
  • Position IFF as a strategic trusted partner by co-creating winning value propositions that satisfy customer needs
  • Be the face of IFF – act as lead contact for customers in the territory assigned. Develop deep customer relationships at all levels, through intensive networking and providing best in class customer service
  • Lead cross functional and cross cultural teams through complex, technically challenging projects
  • Identify/create new business opportunities for IFF and coach the IFF teams to develop and execute plans to generate project pipeline and new sales

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, with years of successful sales experience in a meat processing industry related industry required
  • Possess the ability to lead multi-cultural teams and Advanced English language skills
  • Knowledgeable of industry trends, companies, technology, and displays passion for food and flavors
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills with the ability to lead and coordinate activities with internal support team and customers
  • Confident, dynamic and enthusiastic professional with ability to generate trust by delivering on commitments 
  • IT acumen and ability to leverage big data points to enhance strategic accounts plan, commercial performance and customer engagement
