The Procurement Business Analyst is someone with analytical experience that can turn data into information and insights in order to support decision making on 3rd party purchases across billions of dollars in spend. The right person for this role thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves problem-solving, and is a good communicator, telling high-impact stories with data. You will be expected to work hand-in-hand with the buying community and senior management in sourcing events. You will be co-responsible for the analysis and interpretation of micro and macroeconomic events on IFF’s raw material availability, prices, etc. It is critical to have a curious mind with a view to understanding how events and economic factors interlink and affect every aspect of what IFF sources. This is a role that requires deep interpretation of what the data represents and not simply a role that produces analysis and reports.

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities:


•    Lead the tracking of the organization’s raw material spend through the Budget and Forecast process 
•    Support evaluation, approval and tracking of savings initiatives
•    Be a key co-partner to the Procurement transformation and digitalization journey 
•    Employ data mining techniques to achieve data synchronization and problem root cause analysis
•    Support data selection, extraction, and cleansing for effective reporting and dashboarding requirements
•    Liaise with Category Directors and Managers to validate supplier spend, baseline analysis and track savings and compliance 
•    Work to identify and implement continuous improvement in sourcing strategies
•    Assist with the development of RFx scoring models and sourcing initiatives as well as supporting the RFx end to end process when needed 
•    Create and sustain processes, tools, and on-going support structures that enable reuse and efficiency 
•    Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management

Job Requirements

 

Your Required Skills & Experience


•    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field
•    Ideally minimum 5 years’ work experience. Experience in project management as well as in analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and presenting facts for decision making managers.
•    Project Management skills, ability to take ownership from start through to completion
•    Analytical thinking - able to interpret data and present conclusions/guidance
•    Cost model development experience, including multivariate analysis
•    Results oriented/Persistent 
•    Thrive in a collaborative work environment – work across functions, cultures and time zones
•    Open and direct communication approach – push and chase others whilst maintaining appropriate professionalism
•    Excellent Excel skills 
•    Fluent in English (written and spoken)

 


Nice to have skills:


•    SAP BW/AO or other data extraction tools
•    Dashboard creation (PowerBI or Tableau)
•    Knowledge of SAP, Oracle or any other ERP system 
•    Experience in a Procurement environment
•    Experience with M&A integration
•    Experience translating analytical needs to data scientist
•    Knowledge of Python, SQL, or R
