Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Serve as a primary conduit between your operating area and the Site Leadership Team
  • Manage operating team to ensure the team meets plant performance, including the development and execution of plant and team KPI’s• Provide leadership to direct reports, including facilitating training and career development, setting & reviewing performance goals, giving feedback and recognition, coaching, and counseling
  • Manage and drive improvements in an operating area of the facility including equipment reliability/uptime, facility cleanliness/GMP, and facility safety
  • Lead continuous improvements projects including improving area workflows for routine (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) tasks and departmental projects
  • Investigate and solve production problems such as scheduling delays, process upsets, equipment failures, and other production related concerns with a cross-functional team (Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and QAQC)
  • Ensure team and production compliance with EH&S guidelines and requirements.
  • Support teambuilding activities within the department and the plant.

Job Requirements

 

  • University degree in relevant field and 3-5yr demonstrated experience working safely in an Industrial environment or High School diploma and 8+ years large scale manufacturing experience.
  • Self-starter with systematic decisions making, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with excellent written and verbal communication to assist in working collaboratively
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize workload
  • Must be able to work efficiently and effectively through tasks with minimal overhead management direction to execute required work
  • Computer experience with MS Office suite 
  • Willing and able to do moderate to heavy stair climbing (including vertical ladders), along with the ability to work above floor surfaces (heights) and lift up to 65 lbs 

 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing experience in liquid processing
  • Computer experience with SAP 
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations 
  • Experience in Liquid manufacturing/Processing; Familiarity with Planning & Scheduling; with RCFA; PSM, 5S, World Class Continuous Improvement are considered assets

 

Working Schedule: 

 

  • This role is a Monday through Friday day role supporting a 24/7 365 operating facility. Schedule flexibility to infrequently work early or after hours, as well as take calls required
