Job Description

We are hiring! We are looking for a Laboratory Coordinator in R&D department to join us in Benicarlo (Castellón).

About You

Laboratory coordinator is a service position that provides important support to the R&D department, so that it can technically maintain current labs to operate smoothly. In addition, administrative tasks related to the Lab daily routine within the department and with other departments are also accomplished.

Specifically, you will provide support to the laboratory department by performing a variety of activities:

  • Work with the users of the lab to determine equipment, hardware, and software needs and advise the leadership team on equipment upgrades, replacement, and repairs.
  • Evaluate lab equipment as used on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Make sure that hoods, exhaust fans, and other safety equipment are functioning properly. Lab equipment should be evaluated according to specific datasheet.
  • Ensure all labs are fully equipped with all needed items (chemically and operationally). Inventory lab equipment at least once each year. Equipment inventory list must be updated any time a major piece of equipment is moved in or out of the lab.
  • Keep up to date the policies and procedures for lab operation including safety procedures, regular maintenance, calibration, and cleaning needs.
  • Oversee that the lab stays safe and orderly and take prompt corrective action when unsafe conditions, practices, or equipment are reported or observed.
  • Maintain up-to-date records for all needs in alignment with the proper orders of laboratory chemicals and supplies.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Higher education training cycle in any technical field.
  • Knowledge in common IT applications (Microsoft office, SAP…)
  • English knowledge highly recommended.

 

Other requirements:

  • Understand the principles of working in laboratory environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and result oriented.
  • Good communications skills and confidence when giving instructions to Lab. users. 
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative, and international team.
