We are currently seeking for a Scientist II – Organic Chemistry to join our team in Benicarló, Spain.


This position will study key organic chemistry transformations aiming to improve by following green chemistry principles, the quality, yield, process safety and/or reduce production cost of fragrance ingredients. Such approaches may consist of the evaluation of alternative raw materials and/or new product intermediates, catalysts, implement or develop novel chemical transformations and/or reaction technologies. 


This role also includes proposing, designing, and conducting experiments related to synthesis, separation, and purification, as well as developing analytical methods. You will analyze and summarize data and results in technical and informational documents that describe research program highlights, accomplishments, activities, and potential areas of improvement.
 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and development of organic synthesis reactions.
  • Plan, describe and perform experimental procedures.
  • Analyze and summarize data and results in technical and informational documents.
  • Communication and collaboration with cross-functional multinational teams (internal and external).
  • Experience scale-up and down scale of processes in production vision.

Job Requirements

  • You have a PhD in Organic Chemistry
  • You are fluent in English.
  • Candidates with industrial or academic experience (at least 1-2 years) within R&D environment are preferred. 
  • Technical skills:
    • Formation and experience in the application of Green Chemistry concepts and principles. 
    • Ideal candidates should possess additional abilities to solve process and scale-up problems through laboratory-scale investigations.
    • The position requires knowledge of analytical techniques and data interpretation (NMR, GC, MS…).
  • Your core competencies
