About You

 

To be successful in this role you must have 5+ years of customer facing experience in the Flavour, Ingredient or Vape/Tobacco Industry within a sales function.

In summary, the role of a Key Account Manager in ICG involves strategic relationship management, revenue generation, market analysis, problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to key clients. This position plays a crucial role in driving our  success and growth within the industry.

 

Key tasks, roles, and responsibilities within this position:

 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for designated key accounts, ensuring they receive exceptional service and support.
  • Create and implement strategic account plans for key account, aligning with their business objectives and growth targets.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals for the assigned key accounts.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize profitability while maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats.
  • Address any issues or concerns raised by key accounts promptly and effectively, collaborating with internal teams to find solutions and proactively anticipate and mitigate potential challenges that may affect client relationships.
  • Foster effective communication between the client and the ICG team, such as product development, supply chain, and customer support, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Collaborate with ICG cross-functional teams to execute account strategies and deliver on commitments.
  • Analyze sales data jointly with Finance, market trends, and client performance metrics to assess account health and identify areas for improvements.
  • Monitor and measure customer satisfaction and loyalty, taking proactive steps to enhance the client experience.
  • Manage the financial aspects of key accounts, including forecasting, budgeting, and tracking expenses related to account management activities.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills

 

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven success in sales or relevant customer facing position within the flavor, ingredients, or vape/tobacco industry.
  • You are a confident, dynamic, and enthusiastic professional who consistently builds trust through the delivery of commitments.
  • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. You should have the capacity to effectively coordinate activities both internally with support teams and externally with customers, setting a positive example for others.
  • Solid knowledge of industry trends, companies, and technology, coupled with a genuine passion for the ever-evolving dynamics of the business.
  • The ability to nurture effective cross-functional team dynamics, ensuring seamless collaboration among different departments.
  • Proficiency in IT and the ability to leverage big data to enhance regional strategic account plans, improve commercial performance, and engage customers more effectively.
