In this global role, you will be a critical partner for our global R&D and business leaders to deliver excellence in R&D science innovations to support strong and sustainable business decisions for a future-fit IFF. As part of the IFF R&D Portfolio and Project Management Office (PPMO) you will have the opportunity to

•    work closely with cross-function leaders and teams to support portfolios & programs in any of the IFF Business Units, Ventures, and regions;
•    manage projects effectively and efficiently in alignment with business strategy to drive commercial results and to enhance the innovation return on investment;


The critical success criteria are to drive sound cross function partnership engagement to deliver the portfolios & programs according to plan (time and budget) and in alignment with the strategic goals of the IFF business.


How You Will Contribute

•    Manage a portfolio of projects focusing on product development within product lines or across business lines, including project initiation, driving project timelines, recognizing interdependencies, risk management, leading contingency planning, removing barriers and escalation; 
•    Act as the single point of contact and communicate effectively with key stakeholders globally to ensure an End-to-End project plan in place to successfully launch our new product(s) in the target market;
•    Concurrently manage numerous projects that may be local or remote, and continuously communicate with project stakeholders, including external customers or partners, to ensure project content is aligned with business strategy;
•    Implement governance standards across the projects;
•    Liaise with Global PPMO team as a source of guidance or advice to ensure project management framework;
•    Closely connect with Global PPMO, R&D, and Innovation team, organize regular reviews and engage cross-functions to drive progress;
•    Apply disciplined project management tools to achieve objectives, execute projects through the formal tools, including Six Sigma, Lean or Agile methodology;
•    Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation;
•    Utilize business acumen to provide the right project oversight and create compelling visual communications for executive stakeholders;
•    Ensure valid and updated project metrics, meet technical and budget aims of the project;
•    Secure funding and track correct resourcing (both commercially and technically), including oversight of 3rd party vendors, contractors, consultants;
•    Mitigate risk at project and portfolio levels including but not limited to regulatory, safety & FTO.
•    Work with project teams to implement process improvements and further business development as required

Job Requirements

What You Will Need to Be Successful


•    Master’s degree or above, major in science, engineering, innovation management, or similar. 
•    Preference to commercial experience on new product introductions in life-sciences or pharma industries, including clinical trial oversight
•    At least eight years working experience as a project manager with a successful track record of technical projects from early stage to late stage and the leadership required to accomplish this project progression;
•    Experience or knowledge of dietary supplement, food or pharma industry, bioscience, or equivalent industries are highly preferred;
•    Ability to quickly understand significant assumptions or uncertainties within projects and accurately communicate this to multiple audiences and drive mitigation actions as needed;
•    Strong ability in partnering with peers and teams to drive critical success factors;
•    Solution-oriented attitude, contributing to success in reaching complex business targets and deadlines;
•    Strong networking skills combined with a strong flair for communication;
•    Positive and constructive personal approach and strong influence leadership skills;
•    Demonstrated organizational, structural, and know-how regarding interpersonal skills, including confrontation skills, alignment skills, supportive skills, and leading change management;
•    Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a virtual environment with use of digital tools;
•    Ability to work in different cultural contexts successfully, including flexible hours to work with teams in other global regions;
•    Project management external certifications are highly preferred, such as PMP, PRINCE2, Six Sigma;
•    Ability to complete simple, yet comprehensive reports for executive stakeholders using PowerBI or similar
•    Strong English skills, both written and oral.
•    This position will be based from our Brabrand, Denmark office, with some flexibility for remote work.
•    Some travel required (10%).
