Job Description


Would you like to be part of a strong international team working on groundbreaking enzyme solutions for the food and feed industry?

We are looking for a skilled senior laboratory technician or a junior scientist for the Enzyme development Department in Brabrand. You can become part of an ambitious interdisciplinary team that develops enzymes for the food and feed industry. Enzymes that enable healthier foods and more sustainable production of animal feed. Our focus areas are enzymes for application in food and animal feed to be able to meet the global needs for sustainability, better use of raw materials and better nutrition.


Your tasks will include: 

•    Be an integral part of a diverse global team of scientists and application specialists who  work together on projects to support and further strenghten our enzyme business in Food and Animal Nutrition & Health. 
•    Participate in projects aiming at developing new enzyme solutions for the industries.
•    Help form the mode-of-action needed for new enzymes to solve the future needs in the food- and animal nutrition businesses.
•    Biochemical characterisation of enzymes.
•    Evaluation of enzymes in relevant application model systems
•    Design experiments, review data and analytical results, prepare reports and communicate these to internal stakeholders.
•    Use peer reviewed literature and patents to guide experimental design

 

Job Requirements


Qualifications: 

•    You are a trained laboratory technician with extensive knowledge of biochemistry, or you have a master’s degree in biochemistry with +3 years’ experience or you have a PhD in biochemistry.
•    Interested in understanding the functionality of enzymes in industrial food and feed applications.
•    Demonstrated innovative and creative skills. 
•    Shows creative and out of the box thinking in developing innovative solutions preferably within industrial application of enzymes.
•    Motivated to play a role in developing new products for the global food and feed industries.
•    The department is part of an international environment with colleagues around the world, and therefore you must be able to communicate and document flawlessly in English. 
•    It is expected that you are familiar with different IT programs and are interested in learning new software.
