For the Culinary Design in Brabrand, we are seeking a Senior Application Specialist to assist us in servicing our external and internal customers. You will be part of the Culinary (Meat, Meat Alternatives, Traditional Culinary and Oils & Fats) team based in Brabrand, Denmark - with an excellent category team and global knowledge sharing allowing us to challenge what’s possible and what will be the preferred Culinary solutions in the future.

 

 

Main Responsibilities:
 

•    Servicing our European based customers within the Culinary solutions – from Globals to Start ups
•    Execution of customer related tasks in close collaboration with colleagues in the group and across the entire organization
•    Designing, executing and following up on projects, trials both internally and at customers facilities when required 
•    Seeking and developing new application solutions/concepts for the industry in line with the strategic objectives, that’s supporting market trends and new product launches
•    Training customers and colleagues in application and related processes
•    Actively being part of Category plan projects – for some taking lead
•    Contributes to R&D and global programmes – and acts as an advisor to others
•    Building a strong network with our key internal stakeholders and external relation building with customers
•    Participation in our knowledge sharing activities across IFF
 

 

Job Requirements


 
Essential qualifications:


•    Relevant educational background (min M.Sc. level combined with min. 10 years working experience from Food Industry). 
•    The ideal candidate has a strong background within the Meat-Free and/or Meat Industry with a sound record of accomplishments.
•    Expert knowledge of ingredients, flavors and technologies and how they interact in a Food matrix
•    A thorough understanding of nutrition and general food chemistry 
•    Strong business understanding
•    Comprehensive technical insights (also hands-on) coupled with a good commercial sense
•    Practical experience in working with manufacturing processes/pilot plants and analytical techniques, preferably within the meat/meat-free industry or similar
•    Practical experience in working with methodologies and analytical techniques
•    Strong project management skills
•    Used to act as mentor to others
•    Well-developed creativity, innovation and presentation skills
•    A positive attitude combined with a curious and creative mindset
•    Self-driven, takes responsibility, acts proactively and is good in organizing own work tasks and with a strong personal drive to push tasks forward
•    Structured working style – and acceptance of the trial results has not ended until the documentation is completed and knowledge learnt has been shared
•     “Sufficiently” extrovert to enjoy interacting with and teaching and training customers and colleagues
•    Readiness for working in a busy environment where things and priorities are changing fast
•    Customer visits are part of the job, hence readiness for international travel (30-40 working days per year) across Europe region
•    Working well with people of different types and cultures and shows flexibility when required
•    English on a professional level
•    Good IT skills required
