Job Description

 

Would you like to be part of a world leading international team developing groundbreaking enzyme solutions for Animal Nutrition and Health?
We are looking for a skilled senior scientist for the Enzyme Development department in Brabrand. We apply NutribiosisSM, a holistic approach that studies the interactions of animal nutrition, microbiome and gut and immune function to develop highly efficient and sustainable solutions for animal production. One of our focus areas is new enzymes that provide better use of raw materials and improved nutrition, health, as well as sustainability in animal production.

 

Your tasks will include: 

•    Work in collaborative teams in a leading industrial R&D environment that values creativity and ingenuity
•    Perform as an entrepreneur with a creative mind and the dedication needed for aiming at scientific excellence.
•    Translate customers unmet needs into scientific questions, which can be answered.
•    Create new concepts for enzyme-based solutions.
•    Hands on lab work to develop assays for biochemical characterisation and screening of enzymes.
•    Design the mode-of-action and application model systems that reflect enzyme functionality in animals.
•    Plan and conduct experiments, review data and analytical results, prepare reports and visuals and communicate them to internal and external stakeholders .
•    Participate in designing and evaluating animal trials.

 

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications:

•    Ph.D. or M.Sc. in biochemistry, animal physiology or related subject with +3-years’ research experience, preferably in an industry research lab. 
•    Motivated to play a key role in developing new products for the global feed industry.
•    Interested in understanding the functionality of enzymes in animal feed applications.
•    Showing innovative and creative skills and out of the box thinking for new solutions.
•    Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels, externally and internally, including good presentation skills, reporting, and scientific writing.
•    As the department is part of an international environment with colleagues around the world, you must be able to communicate and document fluently in English. 
•    It is expected that you are familiar with different IT programs and are interested in learning new software.
