Job Description

The regional Regulatory Affairs teams support the regional and global compliance programs across IFF product lines. Deep regulatory knowledge of the applicable regulatory requirements for the specific products in their intended applications allows the teams to provide the regulatory support to our internal and external stakeholders so that our products comply with the applicable regulations. Close relationship with customers and solid understanding of customer needs is an important aspect of the role. 

The Regional Regulatory Cosmetic Active Ingredients EAME Specialist is part of a team in the European Lucas Meyer Cosmetics (LMC) center in Massy  (France), and liaises with other Regulatory Affairs departments around the world, supporting the Cosmetic Active Ingredients product line with a focus on the European, African and Middle-East (EAME) market.
The main responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
•    Provide operational regulatory support to the sales forces (sales representatives / distributors)
•    Update of the regulatory documentation for LMC France products
•    Provide support on all regulatory issues (maintaining regulatory compliance of the existing products portfolio)
•    Is responsible for regional execution of global strategies
•    R & D active participation in ongoing projects 
•    Deep knowledge of the cosmetic and personal care regulatory requirements in the region
•    Management of the compliance of the LMC-France product portfolio with the natural standards for cosmetics such as Cosmos, NaTrue, ACO (Australia)… 
•    Good knowledge of other ecolabeling schemes (such as EU Ecolabel, Nordic Swan, etc) would be an advantage. 
•    Leads local interactions on regulatory matters with Industry Associations
•    Follow-up with suppliers to update regulatory data for our product range
•    Monitoring of chemical regulations
•    Prepares regulatory dossiers for new products
•    Maintains expert knowledge on local regulatory procedures to ensure regional compliance and regulatory requirements and timelines are met.

Job Requirements

•    Master’s degree required in science or related fields, or similar level through experience 
•    A professional experience in a similar position in the cosmetics industry will be considered an asset
•    Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement regulations
•    Great organizational skills, rigor, sense of service, teamwork
•    Self-starter, willingness to take initiative
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills
•    Good level in English (oral and written) 
•    Demonstrated ability to participate in diverse and multi-functional teams and networks
