We are currently looking for an Associate Food Technologist to join our Tastepoint team at our Creative Center in Corona.  We are looking for an individual with lab experience, strong communication & presentation skills, team-oriented workstyle, and solid project management skills.  


You Will Spend Your Time... 
As an Associate Food Technologist, you will be evaluating flavors in finished food applications to support project requests as well as developing new and creative prototypes to demonstrate our flavors and ingredient portfolio to our customers.  Finished food applications to include Beverages, Bars, Cereal, Confections, Dairy and Culinary.  You will work directly with Flavorists to evaluate and select flavors to execute project briefs.  On a daily basis you will be using your laboratory and organoleptic skills to set up and participate in flavor tastings.

Required Skills... 


•    Must be able to manage multiple projects with differing timelines and priorities.
•    Ability to conduct customer and internal presentations to share flavor capabilities and prototypes.
•    Ability to participate in all internal sensory panels. 
•    Must be able to provide all necessary technical communications to account managers, business development, marketing, and others.
•    Must be able to record all formulations, procedures, sensory data on company computer system.
•    Must be able to properly weigh ingredients and create formulations.
•    Must be able to organoleptically evaluate flavors and finished food .
•    Must be able to plan and execute a solid design of experiment. 
•    Ability to maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
•    Must be able to follow proper safety protocols and GMPs.
•    Ability to provide clear communication and work collaboratively across the organization.
•    Capable of conducting product demonstrations to customers as well as internal customers.  
•    Capable of engaging in learning opportunities to increase skill set.
•    Candidate should be able to work in client manufacturing facilities when required for possible scale-ups.
•    Candidate should possess exceptional organizational and communication skills. 
•    Candidate should possess strong Math skills and knowledge of Excel and Outlook.



Required Experience 

•    BS in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Culinology or other Related Field.
•    Previous lab experience.
•    Preferred: Knowledge of pilot plant equipment including, but not limited to:  homogenizer, UHT, retort.
