About the role

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Specialist to join our Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) team located in Dandenong South for a 10-month parental leave contract.

Reporting to the Senior Regulatory Manager, this role requires you to be responsible for the execution of regulatory compliance pertaining to products manufactured and sold in Australia, and those exported to other markets.

We are looking for a highly skilled, enthusiastic and logically minded candidate with a customer-focused mindset. The successful candidate is someone who can bring positive attitude to the workplace, is highly organised with attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.

Job Requirements

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Timely and accurate completion of regulatory documentation.
  • Execution of compliance reviews against a prescribe criteria set.
  • Establish strong customer relations at a regulatory level.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international regulations pertaining to the flavour and related industries.
  • Effective communication with a strong customer focus on negotiations and resolutions.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role:

  • Minimum 3 years’ regulatory experience in the flavour industry, food manufacturing or ingredient supply business.
  • Experience in flavour industry regulatory compliance desired.
  • Sound knowledge of the FSANZ Code and AFGC PIF.
  • Excellent computer skills, MS Office Suite, particularly Microsoft excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to ‘think outside the box’.
