Role Overview

 

It’s an exciting time to be part of IFF, we are looking for a Dairy Category Marketing lead to become part of our industry-leading Marketing team, based in Dubai/UAE, with a regional focus on Middle East, Turkey and Iran.
You will be part of the Category Marketing team with the vision to drive growth across all categories and develop high impact and locally relevant customer experience.

The Dairy Category Marketing lead will drive the cross functional Category Growth Team that is responsible for translating our global innovation into regional initiatives. The Category Marketing lead will also engage with customers on initiatives and strategic engagements in Middle East, Turkey and Iran.
 

Key Responsibilities

 

• To drive the cross functional Growth Team for our Dairy category
• To ensure the successful execution of the strategic regional initiatives from the initial idea to the actual sales
• To support strategic customer projects in a way that significantly increases the chances of generating and/or winning business opportunities, in Middle East, Turkey and Iran
• To be a strategic partner for AMETI (Africa, Middle East, Turkey and India) by bringing forward strategic insights in the Dairy category, trends, identifying opportunities, and relevant initiatives
• To deliver creative and impactful communication internally and externally.
 
This is achieved through:
 
• Market analysis and the generation of insights on markets, new potential customers, brands, food and beverage products and flavors and associated recommendations for the business
• Planning and Selecting strategic growth initiatives for relevant category
Share regional category activity, knowledge, insights, needs and opportunities with the other regions, help to consolidate the needs and opportunities globally and communicate them to the Innovation Program Directors.
• Assessing the regional relevance, business potential and feasibility of opportunities inspired by other regions or suggested by Innovation Program Directors.
• Ensuring flawless and effective commercialization of global programs in the region.
• Interacting with external customers on a regular basis, demonstrating in a convincing way how IFF´s capabilities can benefit their business.
• Extensive cooperation with internal cross-functional peers.

Job Requirements

 

You will be ambitious, proactive, challenging and want to embrace and deliver change. 
You will have an ability to have real category insight, be curious about markets and consumers, demonstrate passion for taste, food and beverages, with an experience preferably in Dairy. Good presentation skills and being comfortable when presenting to customers is a prerequisite.
 
A real “Passion for food and drink”, as well as good people skills to be able to lead by influence are essential to be successful to this role.
 
Required Skills:
 
• Degree in Food engineering, Marketing or Business
• Previous experience, B2C or B2B, in food ingredient industry, flavor industry or FMCG, 10 years minimum.
• Candidate MUST BE Fluent in English, Arabic would be an advantage, as well as target market’s language
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience in business analysis, project management, strategic planning
• Ability to digest market information from numerous sources as well as data sources, create logical arguments and apply it relevantly, to determine direction and future idea focus.
• Ability to interact and influence multiple departments to ensure that customer needs are met
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Can-do attitude, ambitious, proactive and ready to embrace and deliver change
• Team player – willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others within and outside marketing
