Production Planner

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Planning and establishing production plan in order to meet OTP (On Time Performance) IP (Integrated Planning) Strategy, and inventory fitness goals. Distributing production schedules and work orders out of SAP to related departments such as engineering, quality, warehouse etc.
• Reviewing processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints by getting aligned with global supply chain policies and best planning practices.
• Handling the production orders out of SAP - MRP system Interfacing with sales, production, raw material planning, quality, warehouse departments to meet customer needs with the set lead times.
• Determining material requirements for production. Getting contact with raw material planning and customer service departments if any shortage occurs. 
• Defining reasons of late orders in order to avoid inconsistency in the future.
• Reviewing email communications to/from related departments for any changes affecting customer orders, safety stock, replenishments, intermediate makes and equipment issues. 
• Generating weekly / monthly production planning reports.
• Collaborating with RM planning team in order to analyze SLOB (Slow moving and obsolete) materials and take improvement action.
• Checking safety stock levels and MRP parameters  for raw materials, informing regional master planners on time.
• Communicating any planning strategy changes to supervisor based on product past performance. 

Job Requirements

• BS Degree in Industrial Engineering , Food Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• 2 - 4 years of experience  within a manufacturing-buying environment.
• Knowledge of MRP ( SAP etc ) would be an asset.
• Very good command of MS Office applications.
• Good communication, organizational skills, able to prioritize work load and the ability to  work well in a team environment.
• Ability to multi-task and orientation toward customer service with a high degree of flexibility.
• Fluent in both verbal & written English.
• Resident in Kocaeli and Asian side of Istanbul or willing to relocate.
