Technologist I, Quality (Quality Assurance)

Job Overview

We are now looking for a Quality Technologist to be a member of IFF Quality team in our Gebze site.

Responsibilities;

• Perform production and warehouse GMP audits, and reporting and monitoring of action taking for related GMP audits,
• Performing induction and annual repeat training, and evaluating, and recording it,
• Performing food safety awareness training, and evaluating, and recording it,
• Assist with customer, FSSC 22000, NSF audits and all kind of 3rd party audits,
• Maintain HACCP studies. Establish, implement, and improve procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, GMP, hygiene and food safety,
• Checking pest control adequacy, contacting the pest control company, and taking actions,
• Following calibration of the equipment used in the production area and follow-up of their records,
• Checking and reporting the effectiveness of IFF global quality practices in the field,
• Monitor and audit production department’s conformance with local/corporate Quality Assurance/Food Safety standards, system, and procedures. Direct involved within external audits of customer, FSSC22000, NSF etc.,
• Conducting RSPO, Halal, Kosher inspections, taking actions, contacting QC and planning in case of non-compliance and taking actions,
• Assist in develop policies, procedures, and quality training programs to be implemented throughout the company,
• Within respective production area, address all quality non-conformances, including root cause analysis and provide corrective/preventive actions. Using and supporting advance reporting systems as SAP-Notification system for this,
• Monitoring the general documentation system and making necessary revisions,
• Maintain and prepare QA documentation needed for third party audits,
• Following internal audits, preparing internal audit plan and its risk assessments,
• Follow up notifications (customer, vendor, internal) including root cause analysis and provide corrective/preventive actions,
• Supporting MOC (Management of Change) studies,
• Support to establish and implement a communication plan for the improvement & awareness of quality issues across the local organization,
• Initiating quality improvement plans and managing projects with motivated people delivering targeted results,
• Maintaining sustainable contact, both internally & externally with customers, authorities, and other relevant organizations,
• Work closely with production team for validation of the new equipment/systems, supporting cleaning validation and to improve the processes in both quality & efficiency perspective,
• Work closely with production team to implement new standards/identify training needs of the shop floor people.

Job Requirements;

• Food engineering degree,
• Minimum of 1-3 year in a Quality Assurance type of function and/or commensurate experience,
• Knowledge of Food safety principles and systems such as FSSC 22000, NSF, ISO 22000, ISO 9001 standards,
• Experience in both Food and Flavors industries,
• Must be proficient in the use of MS Office, SAP,
• Good analytical and communication (both verbal and written) skills in English,
• Able to work within a shift if it's needed,
• Resident in Asian side of Istanbul / Kocaeli or willing to relocate.
