IFF Lucas Meyer Cosmetics is the business unit of IFF which develops, manufactures and markets innovative ingredients for the cosmetic and personal care industry. We offer active ingredients, functional ingredients, and delivery systems from various origins. With an outstanding portfolio of ingredients available worldwide through a network of distributors and professional agents in more than 50 countries in North America, Europe and Asia. We continue to provide strong technical support for our Cosmetics Ingredients customer.

IFF Lucas Meyer Cosmetics is growing and we are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to develop the EMEA region and join the sales team.

Job Description
As the

Regional Sales Manager

you will be in charge of the management of distributors representing LMC in several countries. These countries include Germany, Austria, German Switzerland, Netherlands, Russia, Poland, Czech Republik, Slovakia, Hungary. You will also directly manage certain large accounts. The role is initially based in Germany and you will report to the EMEA Sales Director.

Commercial Responsibilities
For distributors:
Manage the partners who are in charge of promoting the LMC portfolio in a specific territory;
•Ensure that distributors are properly trained on the product portfolio;
•Provide technical and commercial support when required by the distributor;
•Ensure regular monitoring of the means implemented by distributors to promote the LMC product portfolio;
•Organize quarterly meetings to follow current opportunities, turnover, specific needs and issues, Market analysis (Regulations, Customer needs, trends, competition);
•Visit customers in different territories;
•Contribute to the commercial strategy by providing information on market trends, regulatory developments, new customer needs;
•Implement the strategy in each country.

For direct accounts:
•Promote the LMC cosmetic ingredients portfolio (actives and functionals);
•Initiate new opportunities;
•Establish a strong network and develop customer intimacy;
•Establish and implement a long-term business strategy for each key account;
•Provide technical support;
•Develop synergies with other entities of the group working with these major accounts.

Job Requirements


•A master degree in science, biology, chemistry (Engineer, Pharmacist…);
•A minimum of 5/7 years in a similar position in the personal care / cosmetic industry;
•Available to travel for up to 50% of the time;
•You are fluent in German, English. French is a plus;
•You are Customer oriented and have strong negotiation and communication skills;
•You are curious and able to adapt to various cultures;
•You are able to work autonomously while being part of a team with which you interact frequently;
•You have a strong work ethic.
