Job Description


This is an exciting opportunity to join our Fragrance Ingredients team in Haverhill, Suffolk. Reporting into the EHS Compliance Manager; you will be responsible for managing the daily need for permits. Supporting both the compliance and maintenance departments on mechanical improvements.



Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure regulatory compliance, safety and quality of all Mechanical Maintenance activities
  • Meeting key site and department compliance metrics
  • Managing Ageing Plant and Asset Integrity program (including determining equipment fit for service)
  • Manage equipment criticality and reliability programs to meet business/regulatory demands.
  • Assist Site Engineering on Plant/process modifications and projects to increase productivity.
  • Preparation, completion and monitoring of Permits to Work for Maintenance tasks across site.
  • Preparation and management of maintenance task risk assessment and method statements.
Job Requirements


  • Degree in engineering: Mechanical, Chemical Engineering
  • Project management & Continuous Improvement, Six sigma/lean manufacturing experience
  • Good Communication skills throughout all levels of organization
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing industry, to include distillation theory and practice.
  • TOP Tier COMAH Site experience
  • Risk Assessment and Permit to Work expertise
