Job Description
As the Production Planning Scheduler, you will responsible for ensuring the correct work orders are issued to the shop floor in accordance with the Production Plans. To be successful in this role, you will need excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to effectively communicate with others.
Job Requirements
Key responsibilities include:
- Running reports in order to check work to be released. Releasing work to the shop floor, ensuring all the necessary paperwork/documentation is present and correct.
- Trouble shooting work that cannot be released, chasing up the necessary departments to update SAP to enable the correct work to be released, reporting back to the planner any issues that are not solved.
- Checking daily that blending has been completed and adjusting the process order if necessary, to action the blend.
- Run reports in SAP to ensure the correct work has been issued to the floor and all the plant capacity is catered for. Sending daily reports, rescheduling any work that has been released in the system but not issued and advise the planners.
- Any other duties to support colleagues, such as providing holiday cover for the planners
Required Skills/Experience:
- Educated to a min of A level or equivalent
- Excellent organisation skills, coupled with high levels of accuracy
- Experience within Word and Excel.
- Proven communication skills
Preferred (optional):
- Planning and/or scheduling knowledge/experience
- An understanding of shop floor paperwork
- Experience with SAP software.
