Job Description


We are currently looking for a Delivery Controller and UK Shipping Administrator to join our busy Shipping Department in Haverhill.

This is a fast-paced role, that would suit a highly organised individual who is able to work accurately to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be a team player who has the the ability to communicate with numerous stakeholders (at all levels) to provide a high quality service to customers.
Responsibilities include:

  • Allocating sales orders and samples to stock batches. Ensuring they are issued to packing in time to get ready for dispatch. Reporting any shortages immediately and escalating to Customer Services or the Supervisor if they cannot be addressed
  • Addressing issues with stock and packaging
  • Checking with QC (Quality Control) to resolve shelf life issues
  • Liaising with Customer Service regarding packaging type and fill and resolve any issues on the delivery
  • Liaising with haulers daily to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Preparing the meeting ZOOGN report when necessary and updating onto WebEx
  • Creating home and export orders, loading sheets and shipments, ensuring the hazard information is correct.
  • Any other tasks as required (such as providing holiday cover for export and assisting with warehouse administration when required) 


Required Skills:

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent prioritisation, organisational, change management and interpersonal / communication skills
  • Good IT skills including Excel and Word


Preferred (optional):

  • ADR awareness trained
  • Sea/Airfreight Hazardous trained
  • Previous experience of SAP
  • Experience in domestic shipping
  • Experience in Sea/ Airfreight Shipping
  • Experience in Export documentation
  • Previous experience within a logistics environment
