We are looking for our Leader for Product Experience (PX) in the EUROPE Region. Are you passionate about sensory and consumer insights and how they can impact product design, development, and formulation? As the Product Experience Leader EUROPE, you will be responsible for directing the regional PX team and will ensure that sensory and consumer research activities and projects are aligned with business opportunities and commercial strategy. You will lead and drive the team to generate sensory and consumer insights that are directly relevant for the product design and formulation, partnering closely with the technical team. You will also partner with the commercial and marketing teams to ensure impactful customer engagement reactively and proactively. You will be the voice of the consumer in EUROPE. Your KPIs will primarily be the reactive project pipeline and the project win rate, linking into the overall financial performance of the region.

 

About You:

To be successful in this role you must have 10-15 years of experience in the field of sensory and consumer research, preferably in the food and beverage industry, as well as significant experience in team management. You are an inspiring leader who has a vision, whilst being pragmatic and result oriented. More than anything you are passionate about the field, know your way around the EUROPE region, and want to make a difference.
 

Job Requirements

As a Product Experience Leader EUROPE, you will…

 


•    Define and execute the PX regional strategy and priorities in alignment with the technical, marketing, and commercial regional leads.
•    Engage with customers reactively and proactively to bring differentiation on the most important projects, core-listing exercises, and strategic meetings.
•    Coach, guide, and develop your team to ensure they play a critical role in value creation for the customers.
•    Continuously develop the sensory and consumer research capabilities to better address current and future needs from consumers and customers, ensuring it positions IFF as a leader in the field.
•    Manage resources and budget in alignment with the regional and global strategy and priorities.
•    Track and monitor the impact of PX activity on overall commercial performance and adjust plans and ways of working accordingly.
•    Be the voice of the consumer and the ambassador of PX internally and externally within the EUROPE region.

 

Required Skills:
•    Strategic thinking, action oriented, result driven
•    Strong expertise and hands-on experience in sensory (descriptive, discriminative) and consumer (qualitative, quantitative) research methods
•    Good knowledge in analytics and data science and hands-on experience in predictive modeling
•    Creative with strong business acumen
•    Strong people management and coaching skills
•    Open mind with good multicultural understanding
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills
•    Excellent project/resource management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize with agility
•    Fluent in English, additional languages relevant to EUROPE region highly desirable

 

Required Experience:
•    Minimum 10 years’ experience sensory and consumer research
•    Minimum 5 years’ successful experience in people management in multicultural environment
•    Minimum 5, preferably 10 years’ experience in the flavor/fragrance industry, food & beverage industry, or other related field
•    Degree in sensory science, psychology, chemistry, neuroscience, food science or behavioral science
