About you:

 

To be successful in this role you must have minimum 15 years of previous experience in a similar role in the ingredients business, food industry or related industries. A university/ master degree in Food Science or Chemistry is preferred.
Reporting to General Manager Food Protection BU, you will need to demonstrate strategic agility, business acumen and strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills. You are assertive, proactive and not afraid to take decisions. Thanks to your flexible and open approach, you ensure a smooth coordination with the different stakeholders and efficient business deal closure. You are proactive, independent, thorough, persistent and have a positive mind-set.
As Business Development Manager, you have the overall responsibility for the market development and business growth in accordance to budgeted sales. 

 

You will spend your time…

 

• Interacting with customers offering technical support ,advising products and solutions,  coordinating project executions  and delivering POs
• Prospecting/ initiating new customers in the designated market area 
• Expanding the sales with current customer base in food and pet food area
• Collaborating with application laboratory, planning and implementing testing protocols for customer projects
• Ensuring smooth, focused, efficient and timely project start and execution that will lead to PO delivery
• Endorsing the role of motivator and agitator for importance of successful project completion
• Leading technical trainings, education and presentations to customers
• Creating technical presentations for customers 
• Attending fairs and presenting food protection portfolio 
• Offering technical support / trainings to cross selling sales force within the company in the designated market.

 

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements

 

• Communication and excellent presentation skills
• Minimum 10-15 years experience technical sales experience in B2B Food Ingredients industry
• BA in Food Science or Chemistry 
• Good interpersonal skills
• Solid project management and good organizational skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Fluent in English & German (French Speaking is a plus)
• Computer Literacy (MS Office Package)
• Driver's license category B is required.
