IFF is a global leader in food, beverage, health, biosciences and sensorial experiences. We are now seeking a highly motivated and results driven individual to join our Intercompany function as Assistant Manager.


Your Focus


As Assistant Manager at our Finance Shared Service Center in Hyderabad, India, you will provide guidance on Intercompany accounting process for the team and SMEs. You will monitor daily work, supervise and coordinate activities of team who are involved in performing the Intercompany functions of regional sub team to ensure team deliver on targets.


The role reports to Operations Manager.


How you will contribute

  • Should be responsible for R2R Global Intercompany transactions could be Trade and Non-trade/ PO and Non-PO based invoices, Royalties, Intercompany loans etc.
  • Monitor Manage and Preform Monthly, Quarterly and Annual accounting closing activities, Intercompany Payment
  • Administer and communicate policies and procedures that apply to Operations Team as necessary for efficient day to day operations.
  • Manage performance and progress of the team
  • Ensuring in-depth process understanding and training of employees
  • Act as a resource for other staff members while coaching and mentoring them
  • Responsible for monitoring of intercompany relationships and performing analysis to support elimination of intercompany balance at consolidated financials level.
  • Ensure the top side JV is pushed down post close with relevant IC counter parts.
  • Reconcile all transactions during month and ensure cross validation for missing trading partner.
  • Responsible for SOX and Key internal controls process flow, Risk assessment of control matrix and procedure documentation of key and non-key process controls.
  • Conduct process walk through to internal/ external auditors and addressing their queries.
  • Develop and maintain Dash boards to monitor and track key performance indicators for leadership reporting.
  • Initiate and lead cross functional meeting to identify and execute resolution plan of global aged intercompany transactions.
  • Confirm the balances as per closing schedules to respective teams accounting and ensure accruals are posted for un-reconciled transactions.
  • Maintain Standard operating Procedures and Constantly looking for ways to improve processes.
  • Manage and supervise a team of 15 to 20, deliver functional supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures

Job Requirements

What you will need to be successful
Essential Skills and Experience

  • CA (Final) / MBA / Bachelor in Commerce / Finance or any other relevant discipline
  • At least 5 to 10 years’ experience with a professional BPO or Shared Service Centre environment
  • Strong Communication skills (oral & written)
  • ERP (SAP) skills – Analysis for Office (AO) for Reconciliation
  • Proven track record of team leading experience
  • Powerpoint presentation skills, VBA Macros or VB Automation
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like SAP Hana, EPM, AO (Analysis for Office)
  • Well versed with Microsoft applications
  • Ability to manage through others, and collaborate effectively with all levels
  • Ability to prioritize important tasks and ensure they get complete timely
  • Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement.


Preferred Skills and Experience 

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, for effective working relationships with cross functional team: vendors, site liaisons, team leaders, managers, and other payment teams.
  • Capable to work effectively in a team environment with ability to understand and react to specific needs of vendors and serviced sites.
  • Strong organizing and workflow management skills, which include establishing priorities and following up on unresolved matters
  • Flexibility to operate in shifts
