IFF is very excited to welcome a new Senior Process Engineer to our team, and we hope it’s you! In this role you can be based in any of our sites in Finland, i.e. Hanko, Naantali, Jämsänkoski, Vaasa; but ideally you would be based in our locations either in Kantvik or Kotka

 

Part of the Manufacturing Technology team, you will:

•    Become an expert in this new-to-the-world process technology.
•    Use your prior experiences in CAPEX Execution of Large Projects to Drive and focus on the Front-End-Loading phase of this Large Capital project in a Manufacturing Joint Venture space.
•    Be part of the team to update Basic Data to the defined Venture Scope.
•    work at the interphase of Process R&D and 3rd party contractors to proactively address operational technology risks during design and execution.
•    Prevent Project Scope drifts in the Manufacturing Joint Venture space.
•    Be guardian of hygienic design principles in this new manufacturing technology
•    Follow a large project, from design phase, through construction, commissioning, start-up, and operation.
•    Lead Process Hazards Analysis
•    Collaborate across MT, Process R&D and Operations

Qualifications

Your Qualifications:

•    Master/Bachelor of Science, Engineering discipline required (Chemical, Biochemical or Mechanical preferred)
•    Fluent Finnish and English language are required
•    Ideally ca. 10 – 15 years of experience in Manufacturing in multiple process industries (Chemical – Biotechnology – Food)
•    Demonstration of influential leadership to lead & mentor others.
•    Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.

Other Considerations:

Travel as needed to manage project scope. This can include design reviews at off-site locations, vendor meetings or shop visits, tours of sister sites/processes, contractor selection and/or bid meetings, and other travel as dictated by project needs.
