IFF is very excited to welcome a new "Sales Manager – Microbial Control” to our team, and we hope it’s you!

 

Under the direction of the Microbial Control Commercial Sales Leader, you will manage a combination of existing accounts and new accounts in current and developing market segments. This position involves close cooperation with different functions, including marketing, regulatory, business applications, legal, and supply chain in support of customers.  In addition to the customer responsibilities you will also be responsible for maintaining the process of regulatory contract management for the EU region.  

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – SALES MANAGEMENT: 
•    Identify, develop, and convert selling projects around commercial and developmental opportunities for Microbial Control Products in the European markets 
•    Achieve a high level of penetration across multiple functions (Procurement, Technology, Commercial, Management) within customer base 
•    Develop Account Plans for Strategic Accounts
•    Effectively negotiate supply contracts 
•    Manage customer pricing strategically in line with business goals 
•    Deliver a high level of service to customers 
•    Enter and track opportunities using Salesforce.com  
•    Maintain a high degree of knowledge on Microbial Control technologies 
•    Be a resource to the business on Competitive Intelligence 
•    Develop forecasts on anticipated customer product consumption   
•    Effective management of sales terms and credit with assigned customers

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – CUSTOMER CONTRACTS: 
•    Work with the commercial organization to ensure consistent review of regulatory and commercial contracts
•    Provide expertise to the business on the contract routing process   

Job Requirements

 

•    You have a Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry or relevant work experience
•    The preferred candidate will have 5 years of technical sales or channel management experience desired. 3 years minimum experience is required. 
•    Your interpersonal effectiveness to interact with internal clients and external customers 
•    You are self-motivated 
•    Your ability to work in team setting while managing independent responsibilities
•    You have excellent written and oral communications skills 
•    Your knowledge of European Biocides Regulation (BPR) or REACH 
•    Willingness to travel up to 40% of the working time
