This position will interface with current and prospective customers coordinating and leading a team towards the implementation of IFF products that includes enzymes and processing aids for the Grain Processing & Brewing/Distilling industry.  The successful candidate will possess keen business sense and be skilled at developing strong relationships by understanding the customer’s business, technical needs and challenges and translate these into new growth opportunities for the business.  The individual who will excel in this role will be energetic, comfortable communicating verbally and through written communication and be an effective team manager.

The EMEA Grain Processing & Brewing sales leader will be directly responsible for the sales and business growth within the Carbohydrate Processing and Fermentation Alcohol markets as well as the Brewing & Distilling market.

- Outline & execute regional sales plan to achieve revenue budget and growth targets
- Outline territory strategy both within Europe as well as the emerging markets throughout Turkey, the Middle East and Africa.
- Provide leadership to the Grain & Brewing/Distilling sales team with a focus on skills development, coaching and creating an environment that fosters initiative. 
- Organize regular reviews and assessment.
- Work with team to develop and execute strategic account plans
- Build relationships within the Grain Processing & Brewing/ Distilling industry with key customers
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary team, consisting of employees from Technical Service, Operations, Marketing, and Research to service our customer with the high IFF standard
- Help manage the team to resolve customer issues and define unmet needs
- Effectively utilize business and sales tools (i.e. SPO Milestones, SAP Forecasting tool, Salesforce.com, MS Office).  Outlining key metrics and targets to maintain best in class sales practices.
- Define the best routes to market through direct sales and/or distributor management.
- Assists or leads the negotiation of commercial offers based on marketing & business strategy

Job Requirements

- BS or MS in a technical discipline engineering or science with 5-10 years of experience in the grain processing industry or technology driven field
- Experience leading large customer negotiations, collaborations and key account planning
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sales (Enzymes, food ingredients, specialty chemicals).
- Customer service focus with excellent ability to develop relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to present technical data to an audience of varying knowledge.
- Self-motivated and results oriented
- Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize activities in a dynamic environment
- Team leader and motivator
- Strong collaborative, team, networking skills
- Strong negotiation skills; able to work effectively and influence all levels of an organization
- Flexibility to travel up to 50% (Demonstrated previous experience in a role with at least 50% travel) – this position could be home office based with primary travel to the EMEA customers.  Main office location is Leiden, Netherlands & located near Leiden is strongly preferred.
