Our Chemical Substance Registration team (part of Global Regulatory Affairs) is growing, and we are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Manager, Chemical Substance Registration, EAME.

The Manager, Chemical Substance Registration is accountable for implementing and executing the chemical control compliance programs of IFF in the EAME region (UK, EU REACH, Turkey REACH, EAEU etc.) for the technical enzymes’ portfolio of products (Biofuels, Fabric & Household Care, Textile Processing and Designed Enzymatic Polysaccharides). This position works closely with consultants, the IFF toxicology group and others in the Chemical Substance Registration team dealing with budgeting, sales and purchase of registration data and completion of IUCLID files to assure IFF’s timely and correct submission of registration dossiers in EAME.


The Manager, Chemical Substance Registration is furthermore a key contact for the Enzyme Business in determining strategic business decisions and should be representing IFF in industry work groups to assure IFF’s regulatory interests. As such the person will work with various stakeholders in Enzyme Business Unit as well as vendors and customers to assure compliance throughout the value chain.


The role reports to the Head of Chemical Substance Registration and can be located preferably in Lyngby, Denmark but other locations in Europe can also be considered. Remote working is an option. You may be required to travel within Europe (~10% travel overall).

 

Your key responsibilities


•    Participating actively in industry working groups to assure IFF’s regulatory interests.
•    Project management of ongoing registrations in EAME (UK, EU REACH, Turkey REACH, etc.).
•    Creation and submission of lead registration dossiers in IUCLID (Substance Identity, analytical, uses, CSR, etc.).
•    Support risk assessors with CHESAR work and Exposure Scenario development.
•    Coordination of REACH compliance activities e.g., substance volume tracking, Only Representative coverage, financial reimbursements related to annual review cycles etc.
•    Advising on enzyme registrations in jurisdictions other than EAME (K-REACH, TSCA etc.)
•    Providing support to Customers (internal/external) on chemical compliance related questions.
 

Who we are looking for

 

•    You have a MSc or higher degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Toxicology, Environmental Science, Chemistry or other comparable technical field or comparable experience.
•    You have 7+ years of experience from Regulatory Affairs in the Biotechnology or Chemical Industry, preferably with enzymes.
•    You have demonstrated experience working in industry association groups, with a successful track record.
•    Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse and global teams.
•    Excellent skill set in IT applications and comfortable with learning new IT systems.
•    Strong interpersonal skills.
•    Excellent Project Management skills.
•    Fluent in English.
