Job Description

We are currently seeking an outstanding individual to join our team as a highly motivated and versatile CAD Technician.

This position will have primary responsibility for updating, revising, generating and curating Madison manufacturing site drawings and engineering documentation including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), site layouts, and other documentation as deemed necessary by site stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

•  Comply with all Company policies including, Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, GMP's, HAACP, and Attendance.
•  Revise plant drawings (primarily P&IDs) to reflect current conditions.
•  Revise P&IDs to reflect ongoing changes due to plant continuous improvement projects.
•  Generate new drawings and diagrams as needed to support plant capital projects.
•  Create a sustainable, clear, user-friendly organization system for plant electronic drawings and documents.
•  Own the drawing change control process including all intermediate steps.
 

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

•  Must be proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
•  Must have experience analyzing and field-verifying installed systems, piping and equipment in a food/pharmaceutical plant for the purposes of documenting in electronic drawings.
•  Ideally will possess a minimum of a 2 year degree in one of the following areas or equivalent:  CAD Drafting and Design Technology, Drafting and Design Engineering,  Architectural Drafting and Design,  Mechanical Drafting and Design, plus at least 1 year of relevant experience.  Equiva-lent years of relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
•  Must have strong organizational skills in order to establish and maintain documentation man-agement systems, including change control workflows and processes.
•  Must be highly focused and maintain agreed upon schedule and follow through on project com-pletion.

WORKING CONDITIONS

•  Work is performed in an office/plant manufacturing environment.  

SCOPE OF POSITION

•  This position will report directly into the Plant Management Organization.
•  Internal customers of this position include the Manufacturing Technology, Reliability and Maintenance, Production, Quality Assurance and Capital Engineering teams.
•  The position will take day to day direction from the Manufacturing Technology Organization.
