The Job

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of our fast moving, creative and innovative team as we now are looking for our next Key Account Manager Flavors.
You will be responsible for managing and grow New and Existing important Regional and Local Accounts. In addition, we count on you as an important member of the Northern Europe Team. 
You will work in close collaboration with our excellent teams in Taste design, Marketing, Sensory, Supply chain and Operations throughout Europe. 
As a person, you are excited to find new ways of doing things and enjoy the power of teams. 
In addition to the European teams, you will have a unique opportunity to broaden your network within the extensive IFF teams of different functions in the Nordic region. 
In this role you report into the Category Sales Leader Beverages NE.

Job Description



Managing Existing Business


•    Manage and develop excellent customer relationship.
•    Achieve business growth together with the customer.
•    Optimize supply chain by cooperating with Operations to manage order-related customer inquiries, ensuring that the customer is always given the information they require when needed.
•    Responsible for a healthy pricing strategy and contract negotiations. 
•    Accountable for all communications with the customer. 
•    Overall, you ensure that IFF is recognized as a key partner to our customers with the objective of growing our joint business long-term.



Developing New Business 

•    Follow and understand the market movements and translate them into new business opportunities.
•    Initiate and implement customer activities such as creative workshops; trend & inspiration sessions; innovation & technology experiences. 
•    Develop a joint value creation for customer and IFF.
•    Build and overall manage the relationships between the different functions at the customer and with IFF.
•    Responsible for achieving the growth targets agreed.
•    Team building in the core teams which includes the Commercial, Technical and Marketing functions and individuals attached to each account.
•    Provide together with core teams all information necessary all matters relating to the service of the customers.
      This includes:
      o    Presentations to customers
      o    Arranging customer visits & workshops
      o    Responsible for offers & pricing
      o    Ordering and progress tracking of samples and required documentation
      o    Always keeping the customer up to date
•    Responsible for managing new opportunities and projects, and their accurate and detailed entry into the IFF project systems for optimal business progress and project outcome.  
•    Manage the relationships at IFF with Creation, Application and other teams and monitor project progress.
•    Responsible for the project pipeline 
•    Together with relevant teams and experts within, develop business development plans for your accounts.

Required skills


•    Bachelor degree in Economics, Business Administration or food technology.
•    Strategic thinker and executer.
•    Fluent in English and in Swedish/Danish/Norwegian language is required
•    Excellent communications and negotiation skills.
•    Open personality with a flexible approach.
•    Passionate, persistent but above all a good listener
•    Translate customer needs into value adding solutions 
•    Result driven with ability to keep both short-term and long-term goals in mind  
•    Ability to create strong relationships with customers.
•    Well organized.
•    Excellent Computer Skills (MS Office).


Required experience


•    Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a Business-to-Business Sales Management function, preferably within the food ingredients industry
•    Relevant work experience in taste design, flavors, and food markets



Additional information


•    You are part of a broad Network of IFF-colleagues in the Nordic countries with access to our extensive sites in Copenhagen, Brabrand and Kantvik, your position is home based.
•    Up to approx. 40% travel required, mostly within the region and to other European locations.
