Internationl Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) is seeking a Automation & Process Controls Co-Op to join our Memphis Plant Team.  IFF provides a unique combination of functional, nutritional and economical benefits to customers through innovative soy technologies and ingredients.  The Memphis facility is one manufacturing plant in IFF’s global operation that produces high-quality soy ingredients.

Major Responsibilities:
•    Develop process automation logic and execute coding projects for process data systems
•    Provide support to engineers in troubleshooting daily production and maintenance issues
•    Generate and maintain high-quality automation and instrument/electrical documentation
•    Offer technical support to production and maintenance
•    Provide capital project and instrument/electrical design support
•    Process Safety Management
•    Some shift work may be required

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements
•    Must be able to work safe and comply with all corporate/site EHS guidelines and policies
•    Comply with guidelines established by education facility’s career services center
•    Currently enrolled undergraduate as a sophomore, junior or senior working toward receiving a BS degree in an Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or Computer Science
•    Program is NOT designed for BS degreed or graduate level students
•    Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (Cumulative and Major)
•    Possess technical aptitude for automation development and coding
•    Good interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written); able to contribute in a team-oriented environment
•    Proficient with MS Office package (specifically Word and Excel)
•    Prefer experience with Java and Python
