About You…  

 

To be successful in this role you must have 1-3 years of experience in the Fragrance Industry within a strategic sales function. If you have not worked in roles driving revenue growth previously, this role is not the best fit for you. Job Scope

Global Account: Work under supervision of Regional and Global Account managers on a given category and accountable for the assigned $ sales budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic management of Global Account in Indian Sub-Continent for the development and growth of fragrance sales with all assigned brands and categories.   
  • Manage & support local & regional projects (proactive/reactive) to meet deadlines and Customer’s requirement, through identifying their needs, market trend and analysis, working with both regional and local teams to develop new ideas, new product strategy, and providing outstanding client services through problem solving and being a business partner.        
  • Establish and execute local sales/account management strategy, forecast, planning and budgeting.
  • Pro-active and creative work with Customer Regional Account Team & Customer Local/Regional Brand Teams to initiate, implement and manage new product development projects, both regionally and locally.
  • Be a competent partner internally & externally – an expert for the Indian market in joint brainstorming sessions and regional workshops with Customer 
  • Lead and manage projects to ensure that they meet deadlines and customer’s requirement by working closely with technical, consumer research and regional Customer Account teams – this includes support for global and regional projects with Customer. 
  • Manage the supplier-customer relationship through intensive network, providing client services in terms of problem solving on commercial issues, and being a business partner.  
  • Prepare sales report and account analysis.    
  • Control & supervise local supply chain processes with Customer to ensure optimal customer satisfaction
  • Set clear commercial targets (Sales/GP/EP) annually, define and request the required Account resources aligned to strategic plan.
  • Monitor account sales performance (monthly/ quarterly/annually) and provide strategic project updates to line management.
  • Organize a formal commercial kick off and finalize action plan & timetable, and keep all relevant stakeholders updated.
  • Evaluate and decide on final submissions together with other team members.
  • Coordinate win/loss analysis and share project learning’s via knowledge management system with support of line management.
  • To leverage IFF’s consumer understanding and strategic insight to generate customer excitement to fill their consumers’ unmet needs with IFF Fragrance Solutions.

Required Skills

  • Ability to deal with basic financial concepts/processes (pricing/margin/forecasting) and work with IT systems.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders across the country/region.
  • Passion in fragrance with strong interests in product development, consumers and market understanding (Marketing/R&D/CI). 
  • Sound fragrance knowledge and olfactive skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Great communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Availability for periodic travels in India

Experience Required

  • Between 1-3 years in the Fragrance Industry in Sales/Strategic Account Management.
  • Around 4-6 years of Sales experience in other industries preferably FMCG, Flavors, Chemical/Ingredients, etc.
