We are hiring a seasoned Sales professional to join our Health & Biosciences division as a North America Sales Director, Cultures and Dairy Enzymes portfolio!

Job Description

 

This position has sales responsibility for the Cultures and Dairy Enzymes business in the North America region (USA and Canada). As Sales Leader, the selected candidate will lead a technical sales team responsible for sales revenue and gross profit by executing on the Business strategy and drive the growth and own the Business in the region. The Sales Leader is expected to collaborate with all internal functions and departments within Nutrition & Biosciences and Nourish divisions to help achieve this goal.  


Main Responsibilities:

  • Represent region in Leadership Team meetings
  • Lead, support, and develop culture and enzyme sales team
  • Develop launch plan of new products with Marketing and Applications
  • Work with Global Product Managers to execute strategic plans in the region
  • Achieve sales revenue and gross profit targets for Cultures and Dairy Enzymes
  • Develop short and long-term regional and x-regional strategy to achieve sales growth
  • Work closely with demand planning and production, to optimize operating efficiencies
  • Build project pipeline to sustain growth targets and monitor must-win projects and pipeline progress
  • Ensure progress on regional priority accounts in relationship building, customer understanding, project pipeline and revenue growth
  • Collaborate with Nourish dairy Account Managers to ensure focus to promote and sell Cultures & Dairy Enzymes and solutions of the IFF portfolio at customers

 

You will be reporting to the Cultures and Dairy Enzymes Global Business Director.  You will directly manage a team of technical sales and service reps, primarily responsible for cheese accounts.  You will promote Cultures and Dairy Enzymes and provide leadership and support to Dairy Account Managers in the Nourish division.  You will be supported by the Cultures and Enzyme business group which includes  Communications, Marketing, Product Management, Applications, R&D, Operations, and Finance to achieve a common goal. 

 


 

Job Requirements

  • Food or Dairy Science degree
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
  • Ability to coordinate cross functional team activity
  • Sales and/or tech service in the Dairy Industry preferred
  • Culture and Dairy Enzyme knowledge and technical background
  •  Demonstrated success in Dairy sales, preferably in cultures and enzymes

 


Preferred Requirements

  • You collaborate with others and perform well in cross-functional teams
  • Specific experience or competencies within dairy cultures and enzymes is a plus
  • You are a professional with a dairy culture background, holding a degree in Food or Dairy Science
  • You have several years of sales and/or account management experience, with a demonstrated business and commercial acumen
  • You demonstrate a passion for the dairy industry and have a solid practical understanding of cheese processing and fresh fermented products
