The Position

 

This position will be focused around cosmetic and personal care brands and manufacturers in the Eastern region of North America and will be responsible for assisting the Sales Team with organizing and maintaining new and current accounts by providing sales support and promoting our product portfolio. This will be a flex position with attendance in IFF’s Manhattan office about 2 days per week. 


 

Sales Coordination for all customers in North America

 

  • Primarily responsible for supporting the East Coast Sales team with any needed Sales Support, with a secondary focus on developing business with new clients in the Eastern region.
  • Manage customer database, identify and qualify new leads, initiate communication, and ensure follow-up is done in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales & Marketing to align customer initiatives, and proactively assist with product-related communication to customers.
  • Liaise with various departments (Marketing/Formulation/Regulatory/R&D) to ensure all customer inquiries are addressed properly, and keep record of all communication.
  • Take detailed notes from meetings/conference calls and provide to appropriate team members.
  • Proactively anticipate customer needs, and take necessary action on follow-up.
  • Promotion of Lucas Meyer Cosmetics Portfolio.
  • Acquire expertise on our portfolio, and understand customer project needs and requirements.
  • Effectively present and articulate product features and benefits.
  • Utilize consultative approach to evaluate and understand customer’s business and needs.

Job Requirements

 

 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Outlook, MS Excel/Word, and Salesforce.
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated, goal-oriented individual with a serious work ethic.
  • Multi-tasker, with ability to work well under pressure to handle multiple assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently, while also being a team player capable of collaborating with team members.
  • Execute a daily routine of strategic territory management.
  • Some travel required: Annual Global Sales Meeting (passport req) and Mid-Year Sales Meeting.

 

Compensation ($84,100 - $94,680) is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
