Sales Leader DACH Cultures & Dairy Enzymes 

This position has sales responsibility for the Cultures and Dairy Enzymes business in the DACH region.  As Sales Leader, the selected candidate will lead a technical sales team responsible for sales revenue and gross profit by executing on the Business strategy, drive the growth and own the Business in the region.  The Sales Leader is expected to collaborate with all internal functions and departments within H&B and Nourish divisions to help achieve this goal.  

You will champion good leadership behavior and demonstrate IFF Values in the approach to colleagues and work activities in general.
The position reports to the Regional Sales & Industry Leader EMEA for Cultures & Dairy Enzymes and will be based in the DACH region, preferably in Germany.


Area of responsibilities:
•Achieve sales revenue and gross profit targets for Cultures and Dairy Enzymes
•Lead, support, and develop the Cultures & Dairy Enzymes sales team
•Develop short and long-term regional strategy to achieve sales growth
•Develop & manage relationships at key customers and set regional key priority accounts
•Ensure progress on regional priority accounts in relationship building, customer understanding, project pipeline and revenue growth
•Work with Global Product Managers to execute strategic plans in the region
•Manage all aspects of the selling process
•Build project pipeline to sustain growth targets and monitor must-win projects and pipeline progress
•Review pipeline routinely, discussing progressions and strategy with Account Managers
•Represent and promote company at Industry meetings and conferences
•Provide input to innovation for future growth
•Develop launch plan of new products with Marketing and Applications
•Work closely with demand planning and production, to optimize operating efficiencies
•Focus on the customer

Job Requirements

Key Requirements
•You are a professional with a dairy culture background, holding a degree in Food or Dairy Science
•You demonstrate a passion for the dairy industry and have a solid practical understanding of cheese processing and fresh fermented products
•Specific experience or competencies within dairy cultures and enzymes is a plus
•You have several years of sales and/or account management experience, with a demonstrated business and commercial acumen, preferably in cultures and dairy enzymes
•You collaborate with others and perform well in cross-functional teams
•You are self-motivated and like to be challenged while working for a dynamic organization
•You are a motivator and possess the skills to effectively lead and inspire a team
•You provide constructive feedback to help improve and develop members of your team
•You have strong organizational skills and can prioritize in a dynamic environment
•You hold yourself accountable and are always motivated to improve
•You possess good negotiation skills, both internally and externally
•You can develop and implement short- and long-term goals
•You possess strong business acumen, problem solving skills, and analytics to assist in decision making

•Salesforce.com experience preferred
•Ability to travel frequently and valid driving license

You will be reporting to the Regional Sales & Industry Leader EMEA for Cultures & Dairy Enzymes.  You will directly manage a team of technical sales representatives. You will promote Cultures and Dairy Enzymes and provide leadership and support to Dairy Account Managers in the Nourish division.  You will be supported by the Cultures and Enzyme business group which includes Communications, Marketing, Product Management, Applications, R&D, Operations, and Finance to achieve a common goal.
