We curerntly have a  short-term 3 month temporary position within our Savoury NPD team. 

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

This role will be based in the Savoury Development Team, working with ambient seasonings, glazes, sauces, marinades and gravy mixes to be supplied into the convenience category. 

Job Function 
•    Development of new products and recipes to fit customer requirements 
•    Keeping up to date with emerging market trends and generating new ideas and products in line with the changing market 
•    Preparing application products for customer presentations
•    Attending customer visits and presentation as part of a team
•    Attending internal production trials 
•    Sample production
•    Supervising the work of Lab Technicians
•    Work with purchasing to source new raw materials
•    Communicating with suppliers 
•    Maintaining a hygienic & tidy environment in the lab

Skills Required 
•    Educated to degree or foundation degree level in a food related subject
•    Attention to detail
•    Professional manner when dealing with internal and external customers
•    Interest in food and a good sense of taste
•    Knowledge of allergens
•    Commercial awareness 
•    Organised, enthusiastic & driven
•    Good time management skills
•    Strong written & verbal communicator – good presenting skills
•    Numeracy & problem-solving skills
•    Creative & able to generate new product ideas for blue sky development
•    Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
•    Be able to organise workload and prioritise where required
•    Administration skills
•    IT skills
•    Self-motivated & Ambitious

Some Experience Required – 2-5 Years Preferred
