1. JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Coordinator, the person assuming this position will be responsible of the daily operations for the quality assurance services of Oakville plant (Wiberg).
2. SQF REQUIREMENTS
Ensure to follow the Good manufacturing practices applicable in the factory.
Follow the company policies.
Follow the instructions and procedures in place.
3. TASKS
Ensure to apply standards, specifications, rules and procedures concerning the raw materials and finished goods.
Recover, verify and classify certain SQF documents.
Bring awareness and train employees on quality and good manufacturing practices.
Ensure food hygiene of the production department.
Perform operational inspection tours.
Manage production non-compliances and reworked products.
Manage customer returns.
Establish quality control procedures from raw material shipments to finished goods.
Manage suppliers’ complaints.
Assist other team members in their functions.
Any other task that corresponds to this position.
SUBSTITUTE FOR THESE TASKS: QC TECHNICIAN
4. HYGIENE AND SQF QUALITY TASKS
Conduct plant inspections (pre-operational, cleanliness inspection of the facilities (verification)).
Verification of allergen labels (CCP).
Conduct microbiological swabs, ATP and equipment Allergen.
Ensure that SQF standards and procedures are met.
SUBSTITUTE FOR THESE TASKS: QC TECHNICIAN
Evaluate on an annual basis the quality procedures and modify when necessary.
Yearly training of the team on quality procedures.
SUBSTITUTE FOR THESE TASKS: QUALITY ASSURANCE COORDINATOR
Verify production formulas, including CCP.
SUBSITUTE FOR THESE TASKS: SQF SPECIALIST
5. INTERNAL RESOURCES PEOPLE IN CASE OF RECALL
Refer to the recall manual.
REQUIREMENTS
College degree in food science or other similar discipline.
At least 5 years of experience in the food industry.
Bilingual.
Good knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Leader, autonomous, creative, methodical, good judgement and interpersonal skills, organized, patience, multitasking, good communicator.
