We are currently looking for a Global Technical Consultant Animal Nutrition & Health to join our team in Leiden, Netherlands


Our Leiden site is a dynamic and globally diverse hub, comprising 180 colleagues representing 29 nationalities. Our colleagues work across R&D, Application, and Commercial functions for our Health & Bioscience business, along with a few corporate support roles.


In this role, you will be working on the development of the technical product positioning, product claims, sales tools, and trainings for the existing portfolio of enzymes, betaine and probiotic/direct-fed microbials and phytogenics/botanicals. You will also develop models and software tools to facilitate product differentiation and use of our products to gain optimal sustainable benefits for the animal producers.

 

The Global Technical Consultant Animal Nutrition & Health will be reporting to the Senior Global Technical Manager Animal Nutrition & Health.

 

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with Innovation scientists, Regional Sales, Marketing, Customer Service Laboratory and Regulatory functions to gather technical information and produce sales enablement tools (technical reports, in-field sampling reports, sales presentations, and economic calculators) for our nutrition and health products, that articulate product mode of action and customer benefits.  
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to deliver effective marketing communications via trade press articles, white papers, and webinars/seminars.
  • Collect and assess technical information to proactively and reactively counter competitor product claims.
  • Development and maintenance of specialist Technical Services (e.g., software tools) to facilitate product differentiation and sales. 
  • Contribute to innovation and regional trial designs based on marketing strategy and process information from applied research trials involving existing products and applications.

Job Requirements

  • You have a Master’s degree or PhD in Animal Nutrition or an Animal Science/Health related subject.
  • We will rely on your at least 3 years of related Animal Nutrition/Health experience.
  • Advanced in English both oral and written. Other languages would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • We will rely on your knowledge in Nutritional Health of animals.
  • You have a good understanding of data processing and reporting.
  • Excellent ability to communicate at all levels, internally and externally, in a written form and via spoken word.
  • Experience of animal trial design and statistical analysis. 
  • Experience of preparing technical documents.
