Taura by IFF, a B2B food company located in Olen (Belgium), is looking for a Health & Safety Advisor. Taura is a subsidiary of US multinational IFF. The company name Taura might not ring a bell… And yet our fruit pieces and pastes are used in a wide range of products that most people have in their cupboards. Our products are used by big players in the food industry as an ingredient for biscuits, chocolates, cereals, cereal bars and more!

As Taura’s Health & Safety coordinator you will work to ensure that the employees at our company can complete their work safely. You will set safety standards for the workplace based on legal requirements and monitor working conditions and resolve safety issues when they arise. You will take a leading role in developing a strong safety culture on site, where we strive for ‘zero incidents’.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Some of the tasks you will encounter in your new role: 

• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and policies.
• Set KPI’s for the site, with related action plans to meet the defined targets.
• Organize safety risk assessments in each function /area, audit the field, develop actions, and ensure effective implementation.
• Have an advisory and auditing role. 
• Keep existing policies up to date and implement new safety policies, in line with IFF’s global guidelines.
• Lead safety incident investigations.
• Provide training and education to continuously improve the organization’s safety culture, skills, and awareness. 
• Promote safety culture.

Job Requirements

• You have a technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant technical background.
• You have a ‘prevention advisor level 2’ certificate or higher. 
• We will rely on your at least 3 years of experience in a safety role in a production environment.
• You have excellent Dutch and English skills.
• You have good computer skills (Office).
• You are passionate about safety & health and you can get others enthused about it too.
• You have a “hands on” mentality and a positive attitude.
