We are currently looking for A Process Technician II - Granulation  to join our day/swing shift team in Palo Alto, CA

Job Role Requirements: 

The position will have the responsibility of working in the granulation facility in support of Formulation Scientists and Engineers to develop solid enzyme and microbial products.
•    Operation and maintenance of state-of-the-art granulation process equipment and analytical instrumentation to support formulation and granulation. 
•    Perform general lab maintenance and housekeeping per department procedures.
•    Follow safety guidelines, equipment procedures, and chemical handling guidelines.
•    Participation in continuous improvement efforts to increase quality/service levels, improve process capabilities/capacities, and achieve higher efficiea ncy and reliability. 
•    Ability to wear respirator 
•    Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Program Suite)
•    Provide lab support on weekend shifts and overtime when required
•    Ability to lift 50 lb.           

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

•    Minimum education of high school degree  (AA degree in Science/Engineering or relevant laboratory experience a plus)
•    Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
•    Experience operating granulation equipment such as fluid bed coating, spray drying and extrusion a plus.
•    Excellent organizational skill and attention to detail.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills and a sense of self-motivation. 
•    Enjoy working in a team environment
•    Ability to work with minimal supervision                    
•    Basic computer skills. (Experience with computer-based process control systems a plus)
•    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or science field desired.  Training will be provided.
