Raw Material Planner

We are currently looking for a Raw Material Planner to join our Supply Chain Department in Philadelphia, PA!


You Will Spend Your Time...

 

  • Communicating all material shortages and changes to the existing procurement plan to Production Planning and Customer Service while engaging Quality Control, Global Procurement, the Sample Lab, and the Creative Labs as necessary. 
  • Maintaining Raw Material Shortage Checklists and Philadelphia Priority Lists as appropriate 
  • Converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders and track for North American flavors manufacturing plants to ensure materials are available when needed, in line with Global Planning JIT strategies.
  • Managing material master data by using the Global Planning Dashboard to manipulate stocking strategies and maintain proper inventory levels based on forecasted requirements and historical consumption.
  • Reviewing blocked invoices to prevent overcharges against contracted agreements.  
  • Resolving invoice discrepancies in SAP and connecting with Accounting as needed to promptly pay vendors for goods provided
  • Coordinating sourcing issues with Global Procurement and updating vendor and material master data accordingly.
     

Job Requirements

 

Required Skills

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well on a team, interface with other teams, and be customer focused
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint)
  • Working knowledge of MRP and SAP or similar ERP experience

 

Required Experience

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or related field, or APICS CPIM/CSCP certification or equivalent preferred
  • 5+ years of purchasing, production planning, or customer service experience in a manufacturing organization/environment. Experience in a food/chemical manufacturing facility preferred
