We are looking for our next Regulatory Affairs Specialist to support our Corona, CA location.


The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will provide regulatory affairs expertise and compliance advice & support of IFF Nourish business unit Flavor division and its customers’ end markets. Provide formula reviews for internal and external clients. Assist in developing best practices and procedures to improve the review of, and document generation for, Tastepoint Greater LA products.


This role provides regulatory guidance on a wide range of technical compliance issues – including specific issues expertise and product compliance. It advises the creative, application and commercial departments on the safe use and regulatory compliance of finished Tastepoint formulas – including the execution of regulatory compliance reviews, and working with internal documentation team for the preparation of documents supporting the safety and suitability of these formulas.


  1. Review flavor formulas for compliance with applicable regulations, customer requirements and industry guidelines
  2. Partnering with an internal documentation team to provide regulatory support and requisite documentation to Tastepoint NA customer base (internal & external), both for products sold in domestic USA and the international arena, in an accurate, timely and efficient manner
  3. Coordinate reviewing of methodologies and best practices with colleagues. Establish protocols for key regulatory procedures, enhancements to the regulatory database and other IT tools.



Job Requirements




  • Must be willing to work (PST) hours
  • Bachelor’s Degree in food science, chemistry, biosciences or related disciplines
  • Two – Three plus years of relevant and demonstrable regulatory experience in a similar industry
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, including strong verbal and written skills in English.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet multiple deadlines
  • Good Project Management skills
  • Proficient in the use of computers and possess a working knowledge of associated office software packages (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Sound experience of computer information systems is also essential, although training will be provided on IFF-developed systems and tools
  • SAP knowledge 



  • Experience in the aroma chemicals or food industry would be a distinct advantage. Candidates with suitable experience in the pharmaceutical or cosmetics industries or similar fields would be considered
  • Experiences or capabilities to operate as a team leader, understand management responsibility and work independently to lead and develop personnel is an advantage
