Role Overview

Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Logistics Coordinator  is responsible for the management of the logistics function onsite. This hands-on coordinator role drives productivity, efficiency and compliance and facilitates high motivation and engagement within the logistics team. A continuous improvement mindset for the enhancement of supply chain business process is a key element of this role also.

Here Are Some Of The Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the freight-out process about carrier definition, shipping cost and monitoring delivery. Works to identify alternate routes or modes of transportation to manage flexibility and ensure a proper service is provided to customers.
  • Manage KPI and metrics considering lead time and cost by costumer, region and carrier. Besides this manage quality and loss of sales from delivery problems.
  • Manage the freight-in process about carrier definition, shipping cost, monitoring delivery and KPI’s and metrics.
  • Manage fault management physical and financial issue, disposal due to damage during transport. Metric and action plan.
  • Act as a point of escalation for all shipping related issues.
  • Identify areas of opportunity with new processes and technologies and complete continuous improvement initiatives throughout the logistics function.
  • Interact closely with corporate supply chain and customer services to ensure capability in meeting customer needs.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of carriers and freight forwarders, supervising performance, driving improvements, and building the relationship to ensure that service levels are clear and delivered.
  • Ensure all internal & external compliance responsibilities relating to freight, customs and costs are met.
  • Support the implementation of strategic projects to manage any freight constraints.

Job Requirements

The education and experience that is needed for the role:

 

  • Demonstrate strong safety knowledge and attitude to safety of personnel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Administration, or related fields 
  • Experience in Logistics and transportation. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel skills.
  • ERP user competence for SAP or Totvs
  • Highly skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated interest in Quality, Compliance and GMP.
  • Strong initiative and demonstrated ability to interface effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization and work cross-culturally.
  • Advanced English proficiency
