This is an exciting position for a Sales Manager China – Food Ingredients to join a very dynamic and experienced commercial team. This position is based in Shanghai, China. Come join us!

 

Your focus:
You will be responsible is to manage and expand a customer base, established in China, within the Food Ingredients business of the Pharma Solutions Division.
As the China Sales Manager, you will also be responsible to manage a network of distributors, as well as manage directly Key Accounts. 

 

How you will contribute and lead:
•    Work in collaboration with an existing assigned customer portfolio to deliver the sales plan. 
•    Develop in-depth understanding of customer needs, maintain and develop relationships, accurately forecast customer demand, customer negotiations, manage pricing, develop new growth opportunities and maintain an opportunity pipeline, key account plans, sales reports, etc.
•    Drive growth with assigned accounts and establish collaborative relationships.
•    Support marketing activities: product launches, campaigns, trade shows.

Job Description

What you will need to be successful:
•    Min. 3-5 years of experience in managing food & beverage customers and/or food ingredients distributors in China.
•    Good command of English.
•    Chemistry or food engineering bachelor’s degree. An advanced degree or PhD will be a plus in chemistry or food engineering.
•    Customer Focus/ Action Oriented – Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm.
•    Drive to results, self-driven and work independently.
•    Excellent communication, both verbal and written, analytical and interpersonal skills. 
•    Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work internally with regional teams and the global Food Ingredients team. Learning agility to grow and develop in a dynamic commercial environment.
•    Travel is expected to be 20% to 30%.

This move will position Pharma Solutions to expand its industry leadership through continued investment in innovation to meet the evolving needs of pharmaceutical manufacturers and developers worldwide. The sale is presently expected to close in the first half of 2025, pending regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. The Pharma Solutions business unit will remain a part of IFF until close and, at such time, it will transition to Roquette.
