Automation Technician

About you:

As Automation Technician, you should have the skills in dealing automated equipment to deliver sustainable service support to meet production’s target demands. You will performs routine diagnostic check in automated systems, monitor automated equipment, isolate problems, and perform repairs.. Carry out routine inspection check and record abnormalities of the automated equipment such as Bulk mixing tanks, Premix, Cluster, Tank farm & Encapsulation reactors.

To attend any issue related to automation control equipment in timely manner and Implement continuous improvement that benefits production operation.

You will spend your time…

  • Maintain, modify and upgrade of document including P&ID, electrical schematic diagram, pneumatic diagram, network layout.
  • Perform regular inspection of equipment and instruments (ie scales, trolley scales, process controls valves, frequency drives, tank level transmitters and sensors).
  • To repair and troubleshoot of eqipment and instruments
  • Quarterly carry-out inspection program to control panels, equipment, instruments in the following areas: production, outdoor tank farms and indoor tank farms.
  • Create SOP (standard operating procedure), WI (work instruction), OPL (One Point Lesson), as required to new equipment.
  • Monitor & update breakdown master list records in Automation shared folder
  • Liaise in the scale calibration schedule between production and vendors.
  • Keeping all automation spare parts intact and recordable. 
  • Render service repair to equipment such as scales, automated valves, level transmitters, level sensors and carried-out testing and validation before handover to users.
  • Initiates preventive maintenance (PM) to any equipment related to automation according to built-in procedure.
  • Response in timely manner when urgent matters related to issues involving automation control system.

 

Required experience and skills

  • Minimum ITE in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or any related field with 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in the similar or automated manufacturing industry.
  • Good knowledge of GMP Manufacturing processes.
  • Basic knowledge on GE-PLC, Cimplicity-HMI, electrical, pneumatic and process instrumentation
  • Good written and verbal comminicaion skills
  • Proficieny in microsoft office (excel, word, powerpoint)
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of SAP is an added advantage
  • In-depth problem solving and data analysis skills in automated control system, with hands- on experience in electrical, pneumatics and process control system
  • Equipped with good analytical understanding in automated control process equipment.
  • Be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
