It's an exciting time of growth for IFF, we’re inviting a result oriented individual to join our Greater Asia region as Regional Operations Finance Manager, Greater Asia.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced talent with strong knowledge of Manufacturing, Product costing and Finance Analytics to be part of a global leading Flavors & Fragrances house!

 

Role Purpose

 

To be the Finance Partner to the Regional Operations Director and support the Global Operations of Taste Business unit and Regional Business unit finance. 

 

As Regional Operations Finance Manager, Greater Asia, you will also provide Operations Finance support the Plant Managers in the Region, to deliver continuous improvements in Raw Material costs and Manufacturing expenses, Inventory control and build business cases and sanctions for Capex projects. 

 

You will collaborate with a network of colleagues in other regions, to ensure best and standard practices are followed across the globe.

 

Accountabilities

  • Manufacturing Expenses analysis, understanding key drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • Financial Planning, particularly Raw Material costs and Manufacturing expense forecasts, Annual budgets and long-term Strategic plans.
  • Comprehensive support to drive cost savings initiatives, including compiling Business Cases, where necessary.
  • Support the Operations team in raising Capex sanction approvals, for significant Regional initiatives. To ensure robust justifications and Economic Profit analysis.
  • Analyze Freight costs and logistics efficiencies to drive costs down
  • Inventory control, especially identify excess inventories, reduce potential write-off risks. On a monthly basis analyze inventory and provide key drivers for Inventory value movements. 
  • Material cost analysis, including Standard and Actual costing, Manufacturing and Purchase price variance analysis, impact of volume / mix / efficiencies etc.

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, strong strategic and analytical skills
  • A highly numerate individual, able to present information in an accurate and succinct way.
  • Knowledge of profit/loss statement preparation, balance sheet relationships and annual budget process
  • SAP / ERP, Business Intelligence systems knowledge
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite especially Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to work in a matrix structure with different business leaders and cross functional teams
  • Fluency in English; additional languages fluency is an advantage.

 

Experience / Qualifications

  • 7-9 years of experience in product costing, financial analysis and financial control in a manufacturing environment in emerging countries
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, strong strategic and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of key operations finance concepts, such as manufacturing variance analysis, capex projects, inventory management and financial / operational metrics
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or any other relevant discipline is a must
  • Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant preferred
