IFF is a global leader in food, beverage, health, biosciences, and sensorial experiences. We are now seeking a highly motivated and results driven individual to join our Manufacturing Operations function as Regional Manager Shop Floor Process Improvement.

 

Your Focus

 

As Regional Manager Shop Floor Process Improvement, you will be optimizing the IFF Shop Floor processes & systems by collaborating with the local sites to deploy Dynamic Material Allocation techniques and further developing their SAP Production and Warehousing strategies.

 

The role will see you analyzing and maintaining Production, Warehouse and Shop Floor related strategies for all Nourish and Scent manufacturing sites. Leading the development of new (digital) Shop Floor strategies, standardization, continuous improvement and implementation of best practices and standards are key deliverables. 

 

As part of this role, you will be driving supported MES solutions developed by our team and leverage other digital solutions as used in our shop floor landscape. You will act as business translator and will capture user requirements that can be integrated into our solutions, bringing innovation and digitization.

 

In this position you will ensure ongoing evolution of the operational maturity within the region, and you will support the local Operations teams achieving this.

 

This is a United States (South Brunswick) based role that supports the NOAM region and you will be reporting into the Global Manager Shop Floor Improvement.

 

How you will contribute

 

  • Achieve the best possible Production flow in each manufacturing facility.
  • Support the development and implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems and related equipment and convert this into a smooth working process throughout the IFF landscape.
  • Manage and control shop floor master data through regular analysis for the region to ensure most efficient use of resources of workforce planning, material, and equipment.
  • Contribute to support the development and improvement of shop floor processes and best practices in the region.
  • Develop and analyse shop floor performance indicators in line with the global strategies.
  • Managing, setting-up and improving ERP processes, workflow and shopfloor processes, equipment in close cooperation with Operations, IT, Quality, Safety, and Engineering. 
  • Training of (new) colleagues in the region and maintain minimum level of knowledge / critical mass.
  • Knowledge sharing with manufacturing process engineers across the regions, owning the manuals and SOP’s.
  • Strong focus on standardizing, control of specifications and blueprints, to avoid constantly re-inventing the wheel.
  • Build, implement, and maintain critical mass of shop floor knowledge within the region to support productive and consistent production processes.

Job Requirements

 

  • Master’s in IT, Supply Chain management or Technical Business Administration or any other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 4-5 years relevant experience in Shop Floor Process Improvement from Manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in MS SQL Querying / Administering / Reporting and training or coaching.
  • Strong Project management experience, ability to lead from the front and represent the team in the functional and inter-departmental business calls.
  • Experienced in Systems Applications & Products (SAP) is mandatory with the capability to   provide guidance and mentorship to SMEs (SAP 7.40 (PP/WM/MM/IM)).
  • Ability to effectively influence and motivate others, and collaborate effectively with all levels, with demonstrated ability as a change agent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English.
  • Advanced level in MS Office 365 (PowerPoint, Access, Excel, MS Project, MS Visio).
  • TOC / Goldratt, experience in TOC projects / vision.
  • Experience and affinity with Automation, Robots or Automated environment.
  • Certification in APICS CPIM, CSCP, AutoCAD, HACCP/GMP, ATEX preferred.
  • Experience in multinational and multi-cultural environment is a must.
  • Analytical, problem solving and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
